There’s nothing better than a simple, fluffy chocolate cake to brighten up your day. This chocolate cake is perfect for any occasion, whether for an afternoon coffee or a dessert.
To get that rich color and intense chocolate flavor, I mixed chocolate milk powder with 100% cocoa powder. This gives it a slightly bitter taste, but you can use only chocolate milk powder for a sweeter flavor or only cocoa powder if you prefer a more intense, bitter taste. Shall we see how to make it?

Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup oil
- 1 cup cocoa powder – You can use chocolate milk powder, cocoa powder, or half of each.
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Instructions:
- Start by separating the egg whites from the yolks.
- Beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. This will make the batter light and fluffy.
- In a mixing bowl, add the yolks and sugar and blend well until creamy.
- Add the oil and cocoa powder or chocolate milk powder and mix.
- Add the cornstarch and flour. Mix well until no lumps remain. You can use a mixer or blender to make this easier, but if you don’t have one, gradually add the flour and mix with a spoon or whisk until smooth.
- Add the baking powder and stir a bit more.
- Finally, gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on your oven. To check if it’s ready, insert a toothpick or fork; if it comes out clean or with only a few crumbs, it’s done.

Now that you have this simple and fluffy chocolate cake recipe, it’s time to enjoy it! This cake is easy to make and pairs perfectly with coffee or to satisfy your craving for a homemade treat.
